Anna Prussing shared stories from her remarkable life and quilting journey. Her quilts reflecting family, politics and the world around her, with family history and the impact of war featuring in her work.
Originally a weaver, Anna turned to quilting in the 1980s after physical limitations forced her to give up weaving. Encouraged by her sister, she began making quilts for family members and later attended a workshop with renowned quilter Nancy Crow, which inspired a new direction in her work.
Now quilting for more than 40 years, and after teaching quilting for a decade, Anna continues to create meaningful and thought-provoking quilts. Members thoroughly enjoyed hearing the stories behind her work and her creative life.
