AGM, and Show and Tell

Our AGM this year was short and sweet with no surprises. We did welcome a new treasurer and president, Di and Larrie respectively. We also have a new speaker co-ordinator in Philippa. We still have some committee positions to fill which we can consider non-committee help for as well, such as library co-coordinator and class co-coordinator and more. Keep an eye on our newsletter for more information.

We had an informal presentation from several of our sewing groups. They detailed how they set up, how often they meet and what they do at their groups. Some are very organised with yearly schedules of hosts, and others are more ad-hoc. Some do their own projects and others work on group quilts or challenges, or do all of those as they see fit! Below are some of the challenges and a group quilt we were shown.

We also had a great show and tell. Some of the neo-natal quilts from the packs that Busy Bee put together have come back as well. There are more packs to come so please keep putting those together. We can do the batting and quilting, but if you want to include binding and a backing then you are more than welcome! The quilts need to be 27”x27” please.
