Classes
Wellington Quilters subsidises classes for members. You can enroll for classes via an expression of interest and will be added to the class list. Your place is not finalised until payment is made, at which time you’ll receive the needs list for the class.
Once the classes have been offered to members, opportunities will be opened for non-members to join as well. If you’re not a member of Wellington Quilters and are interested in a class please email us on secretary@wellingtonquilters.org.nz to

Patio Tiles
With Camilla Wilson
A simple but very effective quilt suitable for using either a single feature fabric, or a variety of fabrics, teamed with contrasting sashing. Using a high contrast between the sashing strips and the feature fabrics will produce a beautiful display. Perfect for packs of pre-cut squares such as Layer Cakes or for using heavier fabrics like denim and wool in a manageable format. (Whatever the ‘main’ fabric, the sashing must be cotton.) Denim does create a very heavy quilt so it may be best for floor use if denim is used. With quick and simple construction, and no difficult measuring, maths or templates, the quilt top will be well under way by the end of the class. This class is suitable for beginners or experienced sewers but please note, block corners and joins may not be ‘perfect’ unless extra care is taken
