Wellington Quilters are pleased to announce we’ll be having our exhibition this year

18-21 September at Johnsonville Shopping Center

We have two stores available that we will be using, and we can sell items on behalf of makers. There will be a commission from these sales.

Members: Get making your quilts! We’ll use a hanging pouch and rod system for display.

Exhibition entries are open to all members of Wellington Quilters.

Opening hours for the exhibition

10am-5pm Thursday 18th September:

10am-4pm Friday 19th- Saturday 20th September

10am-3pm Sunday 21st September (big store)

10am-5pm Sunday 21 September (little store)

Important dates:

8th September: Quilt hand in night. 630pm-9pm at our guild meeting

18th September: Opening night for exhibiters. 6pm-8pm at Johnsonville Shopping Center

13th October: Announcement of the viewers choice award

Exhibitors information

All quilts that have not been exhibited in the Wellington region before are eligible to be entered, even if they have been shown in other events outside the region.

Entrants are asked to please make and donate something small for us to sell at the event. The item should be sellable for $20 or less. Profits will go to Wellington Quilters. Suggestions for items include; tea cosies, pot-mitts, pouches, bags, placemats, coasters, pin cushions etc.

We will be making items for the sales table, and finishing exhibition quilts at our Claytons UFO on August 30-31st. Please come and join us!

All entrants will also be asked to put their name on the duty roster to man the exhibition. The duty periods will be two hours and will be split across both shops. We’re looking for 5 people per shift to allow decent coverage.
